Expo Larva, a focal point for Latin America’s shrimp sector
Held each year in Guayaquil and organised by ASOLAP (the association of larval production laboratories), Expo Larva brings together the actors of aquaculture larviculture: hatcheries, grow-out farms, feed manufacturers, equipment suppliers, laboratories and research institutes. The event has established itself as a key gathering for Latin America’s shrimp sector, in a context where Ecuador has become the world’s leading exporter of farmed shrimp.
This year’s topics reflect the operational priorities of the sector: managing feed transitions, handling sanitary pressure (Vibrio, EHP, WSSV), reducing reliance on marine meals, and ensuring consistency of zootechnical performance between batches.
A product range built for two distinct actors
The shrimp sector is built on two links in the chain, each with different constraints. Our range reflects this: the levers are not the same depending on whether you are an aquafeed manufacturer or a farmer.
For aquafeed manufacturers
Two solutions from the Olpheel range address formulation and conservation issues:
- Olpheel Anti-Ox — antioxidant of natural origin designed to limit feed oxidation during storage and to preserve pigment stability. Useful in reformulation strategies that reduce marine-meal content, where oxidative stability becomes a point of vigilance.

For shrimp farmers
